Bayou Beasts is a fishing guide service providing lessons, based in Houston Texas. Our goal is to show you the art of urban fishing in Houston and introduce people to the amazing variety of fish and marine life that live and lurk in Houston’s waterways. Among the variety of species in our local bayous are Channel Blue and Flathead Catfish, Freshwater Drum, Nile Tilapia, Crappie, varieties of Carp including Grass, Common and Smallmouth Buffalo Carp, as well as several species of Gar including Spotted, Shortnose, Longnose and Monster Alligator Gar.

We teach the methods and techniques needed to catch big fish 5 minutes from downtown Houston. Most people don’t think of fishing the bayous because, yes, the water is not the cleanest- but the fact that it is overlooked gives fish the opportunity to grow to their full potential as well as not being skittish from overfishing.

We strictly practice Catch & Release and do not condone ANY consumption of fish caught in Houston Bayous.

This is all about the fight- most people are completely unaware that there are 150lb + fish cruising through downtown.
